Carla Bruni-Sarkozy i jej nowo narodzona córeczka Giulia opuściły w niedzielę paryską klinikę La Muette, gdzie dziewczynka przyszła na świat. Pierwszej damie Francji i jej dziecku nie towarzyszył Nicolas Sarkozy, który przebywa na szczycie w Brukseli. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy z małą Giulią w ramionach opuściły klinikę krótko po godzinie 14. w niedzielę. Małżonka prezydenta Francji wsiadła do czekającego na nią samochodu i odjechała.
Giulia urodziła się w środę. Od tego czasu córeczkę i żonę trzykrotnie odwiedził Nicolas Sarkozy. W niedzielę nie mógł być z rodziną, bo przebywa na unijnym szczycie w Brukseli. Podczas spotkania niemiecka kanclerz Angela Merkel wręczyła prezydentowi Francji pluszowego misia dla małej Giulii. Imię Giulia niepatriotyczne?
Imię małej Sarkozy ówny skrytykowała natomiast w niedzielę szefowa ultraprawicowego Frontu Narodowego, Marine Le Pen. Jak powiedziała, wolałaby, by córka prezydenta miała imię francuskie, a nie włoskie. - Cieszę się ich radością. Ale wolałabym, żeby malutka nosiła inne imię. Kiedy jest się prezydentem Republiki Francuskiej, wydaje mi się, że powinno dać się dziecku imię francuskie. Sądzę, że wiele osób myśli w ten sam sposób - powiedziała Le Pen, która będzie kandydatką Frontu na prezydenta w 2012 roku.
